Medicube on video, September 2026

Medicube was the most-discussed skincare brand in short-form video in September and grew its share faster than any rival. Most of its TikTok volume is paid, and few videos break out: it ranks third on the Syncly Social Index for skincare, behind Anua and SKIN1004.

Syncly Social Index score

A 0–100 score built from six short-form video signals, relative to brands in the same category.

Medicube maxes out the two volume measures, share of voice and momentum. It loses ground on reach: its videos are many but small, and only 24 passed a million views.

Untagged share and sentiment sit mid-pack. Creators talk about Medicube about as warmly as they do about other K-beauty leaders.

Untagged and sentiment

Untagged in practice: a 6.9M-view scalp-care Reel shows the Medicube Collagen Peptide Serum on screen with no Medicube tag (watch). A 3.1M-view advent-calendar unboxing says “I love Medicube” out loud (watch).

Criticism is small but specific. The one negative video in our organic sample questioned Medicube’s marketing rather than its products. Beyond the sample, dermatologists questioned how much topical PDRN serums can do (see the PDRN report).

The Syncly Social Index scores brands from 0 to 100 using short-form video on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. It combines six signals: video share of voice (25%), untagged mentions (20%), momentum (15%), sentiment (15%), high-reach videos (15%) and creator breadth (10%). Each signal is scored relative to the other brands in the same category for the month. Sentiment and untagged figures come from a sample of videos; any claim about a specific video links to that video.
