Exosome skincare on video, September 2026
What is exosomes?
Exosomes are tiny vesicles that cells release to carry proteins, lipids and other molecules to other cells. In beauty they appear in two forms: topical serums, masks and scalp ampoules, and in-clinic treatments often applied after microneedling or laser. Topical products may use plant-derived or lab-made exosomes, and labels vary in how they describe them.
On short-form video, both forms show up. About a quarter of September exosome videos mention a clinic, microneedling, laser or med spa, while the rest are retail serums, masks and scalp products.
